The elegant Mother/Daughter Luncheon Series called “Your Wedding Anticipated” gives a glimpse of why the hundreds of weddings hosted at the resort over the past decades truly have a “storybook” quality. Geneva On The Lake is renowned for its beauty, friendly service and hospitality. Its enchanting ten acres include a terrace, magnificent formal gardens, a grand 70’ lakeside swimming pool, secluded nooks, naturally landscaped paths and a boathouse and dock with sailboats, canoe, kayak and moorings. Guest suites are furnished with Stickley. Alfred and Aminy Audi who own Stickley Furniture Company have also owned the resort since 1995. Over the years a reputation has evolved. The resort has received the coveted Four-Diamond Award from AAA for twenty-two of the past twenty-three years. Recently, The Wall Street Journal wrote, “The stunning four-diamond Geneva On The Lake, has a garden reminiscent of Versailles”. Bill Schickel, General Manager, began working with his father and founder, Norbert, in 1981. He recalls his father describing his vision of Geneva On The Lake as “an oasis…a little island of beauty, peace and friendliness in a busy world”. Schickel comments that “Geneva is one of the prettiest little towns in America whose lifeblood has been its culture of learning, music, architecture, cultivating the land and also hospitality…with the revitalization in the Finger Lakes, the next twenty-five years promise to be very exciting”.
